Dubai AI Week Expands Global Agenda with Focus on Education and Health

  • Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) will organize two further key events to the first-ever Dubai AI Week, under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin, Mohammed bin, Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, between 21-25 April 2025.

    The additional highlights in the week's action-packed agenda are the 8th International Conference on Education Quality, and the HIMSS Executive Summit 2025, demonstrating DFF's initiative in bringing public and private sectors closer together to foster the development of AI and will feature its implementation in various fields.

    Dubai AI Week will bring together a global community of thought leaders, experts, and AI professionals along with senior representatives from top organisations and companies that deal in AI. The key activities of the event will be held at the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071 at Emirates Towers.

    The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Dubai, in coordination with the Emirates Academy for Identity and Citizenship, is hosting the eighth edition of the International Conference on Quality in Education in Dubai on the subject: "Artificial Intelligence Innovations: Future Visions in Empowering Public Institutions and Improving Education Quality".

    The conference seeks to encourage research and development activities in the areas of technology and artificial intelligence, facilitate scientific and educational capacity both locally and internationally, and investigate the most recent applications that help empower public institutions and improve educational systems. It will take place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai and the General Directorate headquarters from April 22 to 24.

    Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, said, "The UAE is dedicated to reinforcing efforts and forming strategic partnerships to cement its leadership on a global scale in creating artificial intelligence innovations. This follows the vision of our wise leadership to use AI in forming a sustainable and prosperous future. Education being one of the country's priorities, embedding AI into this field will augment the knowledge and abilities of future and current generations".

    He noted, "Through the Artificial Intelligence Innovations Conference, we at the General Directorate renew our pledge to support education and knowledge systems and enable public institutions through innovation. The conference assembles top AI leaders, researchers, and decision-makers to present the latest experiences and scientific applications".

    He continued, "The conference agenda reflects Dubai’s ambition to be a global knowledge hub, featuring panel discussions with leading international companies, the presentation of over 200 research papers, the signing of strategic agreements, and the launch of the AI Innovation Lab".

    Dubai AI Week also features the AI Retreat, the Dubai Assembly for AI, the Global Prompt Engineering Championship, the Machines Can See Summit, the Dubai AI Festival, Dubai AI Week Hackathon and AI Week in Schools, In particular, the Week brings to the fore the potential and future influence of artificial intelligence in key sectors such as, Government and Regulators, Global Industry Leaders, Future-driven Talent, Startups and Investors, Tech Innovators and Students and educators.

    The HIMSS Executive Summit 2025, organized by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) with the help of the Dubai Health Authority and Emirates Health Services, will be held on 23rd April 2025 at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. As one of the significant health-tech conferences, the summit is a privileged platform to develop relationships and learn about the significant technological transformations in the Middle East's healthcare industry. This year's agenda will include generative AI, genomics, precision medicine, and digital transformations.

    HIMSS EMEA Managing Director Ronan O'Connor stated, "The HIMSS Executive Summit is privileged to be associated as a partner event for Dubai AI Week. The Summit will host the region's top governments and top-tier hospitals in the Middle East with the expert leadership sharing their insights on how AI is redefining the future of healthcare".

    Dubai AI Week will showcase Dubai’s vision for AI and its commitment to fully harnessing AI in line with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence.
