Dubai Police Hosts GCC Forum to Strengthen Security Education

    Dubai Police hosted the GCC Police and Military Academies and Colleges Forum, bringing together senior security officials, academic leaders, and experts from across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The event focused on strengthening cooperation among police and military education institutions and shaping a common approach to future security training.

    The forum aimed to enhance academic integration, promote common training standards, and support the exchange of best practices. By aligning education systems, GCC nations seek to improve the skills, readiness, and professionalism of police and military personnel across the region.

    Major General Dr. Ahmed Zaal bin Krishan Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Administrative and Financial Affairs at Dubai Police, welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of long-term partnerships among Gulf academies. He noted that such collaboration supports advanced education models that help security professionals respond to evolving challenges.

    Discussions centered on modernizing security education and training systems, unifying learning methods, and expanding cooperation in teaching and research. Participants also explored how joint academic programs can strengthen career development and job readiness for future officers.

    The forum addressed three main areas: the Dubai Police Academy’s education model, institutional experiences from GCC police and military academies, and future collaboration through curriculum alignment, student and trainer exchanges, joint research, and shared accreditation frameworks. Institutions from Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, and the UAE participated, highlighting a shared commitment to regional cooperation through education.
