Recently, Guangxi Financial Vocational College further cemented its relationship with ASEAN countries through the reception of Tanapat Saengchan, Minister of the Vocational Education Commission of Thailand. The move has clearly indicated the ambition of this institution to take a leading role in developing vocational education in the region and further developing China-ASEAN cooperation.
Situated within the context of the ASEAN region, the college is positioned to serve as an innovation and cooperative learning hub, integrating production and education for the purpose of development and establishing an ‘Modern Craftsmen’ brand internationally.
In particular, its cooperation model relies on a ‘school + school + enterprise + enterprise’ co-construct framework and a ‘1+1+N’ platform that brings industry clusters together with modern craftsmen colleges and demonstration enterprises to drive growth in the enterprises.
Fully implementing regional objectives, the college has already established overseas exchange platforms in Indonesia and Cambodia and a Silk Road Finance College to offer a sustainable framework for vocational education collaboration between China and ASEAN.

The university also set up an overseas digital intelligence center, two exchange centers, three technical service platforms, and two cross-border production-education integration bases based on the Zhongguancun Artificial Intelligence Large Model Industry Agglomeration Area at Tsinghua Science Park, catering to talent and technology needs in ASEAN enterprises.
Through its Modern Craftsman College project, it has provided international skills training and competitions, which include the development of a number of bilingual courses and textbooks, as well as organizing large-scale events such as the 2024 China (Guangxi)-ASEAN Vocational Education Development Exchange Conference. These are designed to deliver high-quality applied talent in support of Guangxi's digital economy and further promote China-ASEAN cooperation in the spheres of artificial intelligence and vocational education.
