H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has underlined the important role being played by Fujairah University in augmenting intellectual development and in supporting the overall education framework of the UAE. Inaugurating the new building of the university, Sheikh Hamad said that the higher learning entity serves as a strong foundation for establishing an integrated academic platform in the country to advance skilled human resource development and prepare them to confidently confront challenges in the future.
The Crown Prince of Fujairah and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, attended the occasion, illustrating the leadership’s sustained effort toward advancing higher education in the emirate. During the visit, Sheikh Hamad was taken on a wide-ranging tour of the newly built facilities to witness the broad array of services and resources offered to students, faculty, and academic staff.
He was brought up to date with information on the university's academic and administrative activities and personally observed the infrastructure aimed at hosting innovative teaching and research. The tour included visits to classrooms, laboratories, and scientific research facilities, all fully equipped with cutting-edge technologies to help provide a first-class education experience.
Of particular interest was the medical simulation centre, regarded as one of the best specialized centers in the UAE, where students receive practical hands-on training in the course of their medical training. Sheikh Hamad also toured the library in the university, which has been provided with extensive digital and physical means conducive to conducting research and developing knowledge in all various fields.
