HM Hospitals and Huawei have partnered to launch a Global Smart Healthcare Showcase during MWC Barcelona 2026, marking a major step in digital healthcare innovation in Europe.
The showcase blends China’s leading digital healthcare technologies with European medical expertise, offering a practical blueprint for modernizing hospitals globally. It highlights smart hospital infrastructure upgrades, including high-speed Wi-Fi 7, 2.5GE wired access, and AI-driven network management, ensuring fast and reliable clinical operations.
Huawei’s CloudCampus and CampusInsight platforms enhance intelligent network operations, while advanced storage solutions for hospital information systems (HIS) and imaging systems (PACS) enable seamless access to critical medical data. A large-scale medical data lake supports automated management of unstructured files, accelerating smart diagnostics and treatment processes.

Xavier Tarrago Bonfill, Digital Transformation Project Director at HM Hospitals, emphasized how the showcase demonstrates scalable digital transformation in hospitals.
