Imperial College London, the world's number 2 university in the QS World University Rankings, has launched its Imperial Global India international science hub in Bengaluru, marking a groundbreaking milestone in UK-India academic and innovation collaborations. The newly formed hub promises to strengthen partnerships with Indian institutions in a variety of emerging and critical technological areas ranging from telecommunications, critical minerals, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence to health tech, clean tech, biotechnology, and advanced materials.

Professor Hugh Brady, Imperial College London's President, underscored the university's strategic vision for increasing its global presence. He said Imperial targets partnerships in places where there is a high density of collaboration opportunity, shared goals in research and innovation, and cultural synergy which is like a 'home away from home'. This Bengaluru hub is a testimony to that vision and is the anchor for scientific and educational collaborations between India and the UK, enabling joint solutions for global challenges.

Dr. Hari Krishna Maram, Founder Chairman of Imperial College Bengaluru, also had informative deliberations with Professor Brady on the occasion of the inauguration, looking at future collaboration possibilities in AI research and development. Dr. Maram pledged the institution's desire to create long-lasting academic, industrial, and innovation partnerships, echoing the UK-India science narrative in finding collective global challenges to address. He emphasized that their common aim is to apply science for mankind and work towards a more secure and inclusive world. Professor Brady also wished Imperial College Bengaluru a very warm anniversary on the occasion of the 19th anniversary.

Founded by graduates of ISB and visionary educators in 2007, Imperial College Bengaluru was set up with the mission of professionalizing mass education and closing the gap between the academic world and the corporate sector. Having started life as a finishing school, it has evolved into a diversified education conglomerate, devoted to quality management education and the creation of global managerial talent. The college continues to impart fundamental values of discipline, dedication, and determination in students so that they become change agents in a changing business world. The college believes in the philosophy that business is an effective tool to drive society forward and construct fair economic opportunities around the globe.
