INJAZ UAE and KHDA Unite To Advance Entrepreneurship In Education

    • The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has partnered with INJAZ UAE to promote entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work-readiness among students in alignment with Dubai’s E33 Strategy.
    • The collaboration will introduce experiential learning programs that nurture entrepreneurial thinking, employability skills, and financial awareness, preparing students for real-world success.
    • The MoU aims to enhance private sector participation, foster innovation, and build a generation of confident, creative, and future-ready youth driving Dubai’s economic growth.

    The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai has entered into a formal partnership agreement with INJAZ UAE, an entrepreneurship education and youth empowerment not-for-profit organisation and part of the global Junior Achievement (JA) network.

    This collaboration is aimed at providing students in Dubai with programs to focus on entrepreneurship, work-readiness, and financial literacy, directly in line with the Education 33 (E33) Strategy goals.

    KHDA and INJAZ UAE will collaborate to formulate and implement experiential learning programs that focus on the development of an entrepreneurial spirit among students, enhancing the readiness of students for employment, and improving understanding of financial concepts. Collaboration will also enable the exchange of knowledge and expertise in skills development and enhance private sector participation.

    Dr. Amna Almaazmi, CEO of Growth and Human Development at KHDA, stated that the E33 Strategy is committed to providing every learner with future-ready skills that match Dubai’s economic and social goals, emphasising lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, employability, and financial literacy. She stressed the belief that students should graduate with not only academic knowledge but also the skills, confidence, and mindset essential for success in life and work. Dr. Almaazmi valued INJAZ UAE's efforts in bringing education to real opportunities, highlighting the collaborative effort in building a generation of confident, competent, and imaginative leaders who will drive the future economy of Dubai.

    INJAZ UAE CEO Razan Bashiti valued the collaboration with KHDA to foster the entrepreneurial mindset in Dubai's student population. She underscored INJAZ UAE's vision to empower young people with skills and vision to turn their ideas into impact. With the inclusion of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and career readiness in school curricula, the collaboration supports students in connecting their present learning to future prospects. With this partnership, the organisations hope to encourage more students to innovate, create, and lead.

    The Memorandum of Understanding was exchanged at an event co-organized by KHDA and INJAZ UAE that centered on the major theme areas of work-readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. The guest list comprised Aisha Miran, Director General at KHDA, and Faisal bin Juma Belhoul, the recently appointed INJAZ UAE Chairperson, along with delegates from around 30 private schools in Dubai and a number of student entrepreneurs.

    The forum emphasized the critical necessity of integrating entrepreneurship education into the student education process. A panel session, facilitated by Naila Al Moosawi, Country Lead- Corporate Citizenship UAE from Accenture, discussed ways to enable young people with the skills, imagination, and confidence needed to thrive in the future economy. Panelists consisted of Dr. Fatima Bu Ali, Acting Director of Quality Improvement, KHDA; Dr. Ghadeer Abu Shamat, Executive Vice President- GEMS Education and Superintendent & CEO of GEMS Al Khaleej International School; Mohammad Bahaa, Managing Director- Private Sector, MENA, APCO; David Caroll, Senior Vice President- MEA Treasury & Trade at Citi; and Zainab Abdulhameed, student and INJAZ Company of the Year Award winner.

    Students at Dubai National School Al Twar, winners of this year's INJAZ UAE's National Company Program competition, showcased their project 'Raicom'. This group will represent the UAE at the regional finals of the INJAZ Al Arab Youth Entrepreneurship Celebration later this month. Student teams also got a chance to display their creative projects, expressing their visionary approach.

    INJAZ UAE also presented an overview of its flagship programs in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and career-readiness, stressing that innovation and enterprise are the essential driving forces for individual as well as economic prosperity.

    Dubai’s E33 strategy aims to fundamentally reform the education landscape by making students the central focus of learning and addressing their varied aspirations. Its goal is to ensure that every learner in Dubai acquires the skills, mindset, and opportunities necessary to thrive throughout all stages of life, from early childhood to higher education and beyond, thereby enabling them to become active contributors to Dubai’s future.
