Jaeger-LeCoultre is bringing its renowned educational program, Atelier d'Antoine, to Singapore for the first time, with the launch occurring this July at Marina Bay Sands. This is the Southeast Asia launch of the program, providing an unprecedented chance for those who are passionate and inquisitive visitors alike to discover the heritage, craftsmanship, and mechanical brilliance of one of the most legendary watches in the watchmaking world the Reverso.
This year's workshops are centered around the Reverso, in keeping with Jaeger-LeCoultre's global storytelling initiative, the 1931 Polo Club. Originally designed in the 1930s for British Army officers stationed in India who were looking for a watch robust enough to withstand polo games, the Reverso has been transformed into an emblem of sophistication and technical sophistication. Its signature swivelling case, originally intended as protection, evolved as a signature of Art Deco design and remains a platform for design and innovation spanning decades.
The focal point of the Atelier d'Antoine experience is the Discovery Workshop, which in Singapore delves into the Reverso's history in four chapters of story: the Story of an Icon, Story of Style & Design, Story of Innovation, and Story of Craftsmanship. The interactive workshop enables visitors to experience firsthand historical design studies, patents, and historical documents, culminating in a special hands-on exercise constructing a Reverso case from the ground up, in the company of professional instructors and watchmakers.
Providing a sensory dimension to this year's unveiling, Jaeger-LeCoultre is also showcasing a tasting session designed by Mathieu Davoine, the Maison's newest Made of Makers artist. Unveiled in Geneva this April, Davoine is a pioneer of avant-garde cuisine and has designed four custom chocolate pieces drawing inspiration from the world of polo and the values of Jaeger-LeCoultre. These special treats will be offered exclusively at the Singapore launch.
Whether veteran collector or novice to the world of horology, guests can look forward to an enlightening adventure into the world that awaits beyond the watch face. The Atelier d'Antoine experience in Singapore is a precise replica of the original experience originating in the Vallee de Joux, providing unparalleled exposure to the craftsmanship and attention to detail that characterize Jaeger-LeCoultre. Additional information and registration details are found on the Maison's website.
