- MOU to strengthen policy research for migrant and international students through data-driven insights
- Focus on education, career development, and skill-building for academic and professional success
- Collaboration on training, content, and knowledge sharing via workshops, programs, and educational materials
The Korea Educational Development Institute (KEDI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korean Immigration Policy Association to strengthen research and policies for students with migrant backgrounds and international students. The agreement, signed on January 28, aims to address the changing educational landscape and provide better support for diverse student populations.
Under the partnership, both organizations will collaborate on data-driven policy research focusing on learning, adaptation, career development, settlement, and reducing educational disparities for migrant and international students. They will also co-develop training programs, educational materials, and content that link education with career and employment opportunities.
Joint initiatives will include seminars, forums, and workshops to discuss education, immigration policy, employment, and social integration. Research findings and best practices will be shared widely to inform policies and improve on-site support for students navigating academic and professional pathways in Korea.

Ko Youngsun, President of KEDI, said the agreement lays a practical foundation for addressing the needs of migrant and international students while connecting policy research with actionable support. “We aim to work closely with the Korean Immigration Policy Association to develop effective policies and strengthen assistance at educational sites,” Ko added.
The collaboration reflects growing recognition of the importance of inclusive education, career readiness, and skills development for students from diverse backgrounds, helping them adapt, succeed, and contribute to Korea’s workforce and society.
