Kobe University was actively engaged in the 6th Japan-Indonesia University Rectors' Conference, which was conducted on July 10-11 at Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia. The Executive Vice President and Director of the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships, Professor TAMAKI Hisashi, represented Kobe University.
The conference, with the title "Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation in Facing Global Uncertainties," gathered the best academic leaders from each country to create a platform for dialogue and collaboration. 32 Japanese and 50 Indonesian institutions joined the conference, symbolizing the intensified dedication to collaborative higher learning and research between the two nations.
Kobe University took the initiative to hold bilateral meetings with four of Indonesia's leading universities. Such meetings were aimed at discovering new opportunities for mutual academic collaboration, collaborative research, and student exchanges opening up avenues for more profound educational and cultural relationships.
Such involvement demonstrates Kobe University's continued interest in building international partnerships and encouraging international academic collaboration. Through the deepening of relations with Southeast Asian institutions, Kobe University hopes to play a significant role in solving common global issues through education and research.
