The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), in partnership with the Association for the Promotion of Moroccan-Korean Cooperation (AMACO), donated 315 pieces of office and sports equipment to the Al Wafaa Association for Social and Cultural Development in Sidi Taibi, Kenitra.
The handover ceremony was conducted today at Sidi Taibi commune headquarters, where Hyewon Cho, KOICA Resident Representative in Morocco, was accompanied by Mohamed Moussa, AMACO President, and Yassin Hafid, Al Wafaa Association President, to sign the official certificate of donation.
The donation consisted of tablet chairs, a desk, printer, sports vests, footballs, basketballs, and other items specifically selected to outfit a newly formed training center for Positive Parenting Education and to further youth development programs.
Throughout the ceremony, Cho reiterated KOICA's dedication to the principle that sports and education are vital to individual development and social integration. He explained that this donation will help promote extracurricular activities and empower children and their families with the tools necessary to build their physical, social, and mental abilities.
After the ceremony, kids jumped into their boots and onto the field for the first football match on the brand-new donated gear, displaying their excitement and vigor renewed, as indicated by KOICA in a press release.
