Korea Showcases AI Education Model at Global Summit

    • Korea presents a national AI education framework designed to prepare students for a rapidly changing digital economy.
    • The focus remains on building practical skills, improving job readiness, and equipping learners for future careers shaped by AI.
    • The model links government policy, classroom implementation, and industry collaboration to create a sustainable education ecosystem.

South Korea outlined its national approach to artificial intelligence education at an international education summit in the United Arab Emirates, positioning the model as a practical roadmap for future-ready learning systems across Asia and beyond.

The Korea Foundation for Science and Creativity, known as Korea Foundation for Science and Creativity, said its president Jung Woo-sung delivered a keynote address at the UAE International Education Reform Summit. His presentation explained how Korea has aligned AI policy, classroom teaching, and industry participation into a single education framework focused on skills and employability.

The summit brought together over 120 education experts from nearly 30 countries to discuss AI-powered learning, inclusive education, and sustainable education systems. Participants included government leaders, global education bodies, and representatives from major technology and academic institutions such as UNESCO, Google, and Pearson Education.

During the address, Jung highlighted real-world examples showing how Korea has moved AI education from policy design into classrooms through partnerships with private technology firms and schools. The focus remains on developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills alongside AI tools.

Jung stressed that AI education should prepare students for changing job roles rather than just teaching technical skills. He added that Korea will continue expanding practical, field-based AI learning programs while strengthening global cooperation on education and workforce readiness.
