- Rabdan Academy secured full accreditation from SACSCOC, one of the world’s most prestigious US-based higher education accrediting bodies.

Rabdan Academy received official accreditation status from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), which is considered the most prominent and most effective accrediting agency in the US and recognized internationally for ensuring quality in higher education institutions.
As a consequence, Rabdan Academy has become the first government higher education institution in the UAE to achieve this status and the first specialized institution globally in defense, security, and crisis management to attain this prestigious international recognition.
This is in follow-up to the announcement of candidacy by the academy in December 2024 pertaining to this global accreditation, following a visit conducted by a committee of nine international visitors who went on a thorough assessment of standards in governance at the academy, the effectiveness of academic programs, quality of Student Services, and efficiency of institutional systems in order to finalize full accreditation status.
His Excellency Mr. James Morse, Rabdan Academy’s President, reiterated, "This is a defining moment in our path, in which Rabdan Academy’s SACSCOC accreditation in the Southern States of America verifies Rabdan Academy’s credibility internationally, increasing our competitive edge in an international setting, which in turn leads towards Rabdan Academy establishing collaborations with top universities in exchange programs, research, and dual education programs".
As added by Morse, this accreditation brings accredited added value to students at Rabdan Academy, including easy transfer of credit hours acceptance into accredited institutions of higher learning globally, in addition to the immense trust enjoyed by Rabdan Academy’s degrees in the local and global labor market, as well as the academic excellence evident among Rabdan Academy’s faculty, most of whom have graduated from the top 200 universities globally.

Such global accreditation is an affirmation of the commitment of this academy to operating on the highest international standards with respect to educational programs offered, quality of teaching, assessment of learning outcomes, and student support, among others, thus solidifying this institution’s status in becoming a learning destination globally in safety, security, defense, emergency preparedness, and crisis management studies.
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) is one of the most prominent institutional accrediting agency globally for ensuring quality in higher education. SACSCOC accredits institutions awarding bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, including those offered in distance education and direct assessment programs.
The agency aims at ensuring educational quality and improving the effectiveness of institutions in higher education. SACSCOC accredits an institution when it attains a mission relevant to higher education, with adequate resources, programs, and services to fulfill and maintain its mission, and educational objectives with a capability to be measured effectively.
With this accreditation, Rabdan Academy further enhances its esteemed position in the international academic arena as a globally recognized point of reference in education, research, and training in matters pertaining to safety, security, defense, and crisis management.
