More than 40,000 visitors were hooked this year's Philippine Book Festival (PBF) and fueled the four-day affair at the Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. PBF 2025 was held recently and energized by the National Book Development Board (NBDB).
Rex Education, one of the Philippines' top book publishers and education solution providers, joined and featured its new releases by local Filipino authors, including Filipiniana books. Rex's premier booth launched academic books from elementary, college, and law studies, each offered carefully created by a range of specialists in the industry.
NBDB, in turn, aptly used a fiesta/festival theme to make the event festive and fun-filled. Keeping up with the festive and celebratory atmosphere, Rex also presented special offers and large discounts and came out with the celebrations with fun games and prizes.
Additionally, Rex conducted a stamp-collecting activity at its Lakbay Aklat booth to provide visitors with an experiential activity. Those who finished the activity were rewarded with prizes. REX also conducted a Scavenger Hunt where the participants learned about the company's products while browsing around the event in a fun and interactive manner. Those who participated in the Scavenger Hunt were also rewarded with prizes and tokens or Rex souvenirs.
In addition, Rex also showcased its Photoman to provide visitors and students alike with special photo opportunities to mark their learning experience at PBF 2025. This was the perfect way to immortalize the event, frozen in a picture. All these and more were a success among PBF visitors.
Rex's booths exemplified the company's dedication to writers, students, and everybody who loves books, offering Filipino-made quality books, study materials, and an energetic venue for teachers and publishing professionals. The fiesta-themed, colorful and striking visuals, and interactive features of this year's PBF really appealed to children and young-at-heart. It was a blend of fun, experience-based environments with entertainment, learning, and shopping convenience.
PBF 2025 was also a great way for DepEd and the publishers in the country to meet and solidify year-round partnerships, just like how Rex and DepEd did during the activity. Through this partnership, DepEd was able to make massive institutional buys of different learning materials at advantageous prices in order to ensure that Filipinos develop a love for reading and address access and literacy concerns.
As NBDB and DepEd pursue the ever-changing and demanding endeavor of elevating the level of education in the Philippines through fairs like the Philippine Book Festival 2025, Rex Education assures to be a constant partner and will extend assistance in any way they can.
