Saudi Arabia represented Arab countries at the World Summit on Teachers, held in Santiago, Chile. The Kingdom’s delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Education for Planning Saad Al-Ghamdi, representing the Minister of Education. The team also included officials from the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, alongside high-level international delegations.
At the High-Level Steering Committee meeting for Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which aims to ensure inclusive and quality education for all, Al-Ghamdi delivered a speech on behalf of the Arab Group. He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting global efforts to achieve sustainable education goals and shared the Kingdom’s future vision for the sector.
Al-Ghamdi emphasized the importance of quality education, green and sustainable learning initiatives, and promoting values of tolerance and coexistence. He highlighted the need to empower teachers through continuous training and by fostering environments that encourage creativity and excellence.

He also stressed that investment in education is an investment in human capital, calling for stronger international partnerships and innovative financing tools.
