Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM), through its foundation Yayasan TM (YTM), has granted RM25 million worth of scholarships under the Yayasan TM Future Leaders Scholarship 2025, affirming the company's commitment to nurturing talent as well as advancing education in Malaysia.
The awards will go to students studying important fields like Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science and Analytical Economics at Multimedia University (MMU), local public universities (IPTA) and top institutions in the UK, Australia, Japan and Singapore.
Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, CEO of TM Group and Deputy Chairman of Yayasan TM, stated, "With this scholarship, we are empowering the next generation leaders who will fuel innovation, lead meaningful change, and shape Malaysia's digital future".
The 2025 cycle had more than 10,300 SPM leavers from across the country applying. Prospective recipients had to go through a stringent selection process involving academic filtering, online ability and competency tests and final interviews by Behavioural Event Interview (BEI)-qualified panels. Recipients were feted in a ceremony at MMU Cyberjaya, which had leaders from TM and MMU, as well as a representative of the Ministry of Higher Education.

Ainol Shaharina Sahar, Yayasan TM Director, explained the programme provides more than monetary assistance, delivering an all-round development plan to empower beneficiaries with future-proof digital literacy and employability.
Yayasan TM has assisted more than 18,000 students since 1994 with overall investments amounting to over RM650 million and has played a huge role in Malaysia's digital talent pool and fair access to education.
Applications for the September 2025 intake for the next batch of undergraduate students will open shortly for students with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 with proven academic excellence, leadership and an active co-curricular life. The details will be announced through Yayasan TM's official channels.
