The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has launched an automatic degree recognition system for 34 local universities and colleges. The initiative allows graduates to receive instant verification of their qualifications, making it easier to enter the workforce or pursue further studies.
Since the program began, over 25,000 graduates have already benefited. The Ministry plans to expand the system to Emirati students studying abroad under government scholarships, enabling them to access official services seamlessly from anywhere in the world.
The new system eliminates the need for extra qualification checks, helping graduates transition quickly into jobs, postgraduate programs, or professional licensing processes. It also ensures that government, residency, and visa requirements are easily met.
Ahmad Yousuf Al Nasser, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for Higher Education Operations at MoHESR, said the first phase links 34 institutions and reflects the Ministry’s commitment to a flexible, efficient recognition system tailored to student and labor market needs. He added that the network will continue expanding to create a fully integrated, digitally driven service.

The system uses QR code verification to confirm degrees from UAE institutions, while digital tools also allow verification of foreign qualifications. This approach ensures accuracy, reliability, and easy access for both students and authorities, supporting skill development and job readiness.
By removing bureaucratic delays and introducing a fast, reliable verification system, the UAE aims to strengthen its education-to-employment pathway and equip graduates with the skills needed for modern careers.
