VEX Robotics, RECF Join Forces with Saudi Federation to Boost STEM

    • VEX Robotics and RECF partner with Saudi Robotics Federation to boost STEM education through robotics integration in schools across Saudi Arabia.
    • The initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, focusing on youth empowerment, teacher training, and national to international robotics competitions.
    • Students will gain hands-on skills and global exposure, with the VEX Continuum and RECF competitions fostering innovation, teamwork, and STEM career pathways.

VEX Robotics, a leader in educational robotics globally, and the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation (RECF) have announced a stimulating partnership with the Saudi Federation of Robotics and RC Sports. The partnership will greatly enhance STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education throughout Saudi Arabia by introducing high-end robotics technology into classrooms and competition.

This strategic alliance is a significant milestone in providing Saudi students with top-class educational software and platforms, consistent with the Kingdom's vision of technological innovation and youth empowerment. Through promoting a culture of STEM excellence, this program will create new avenues for students to pursue robotics, enhance core competencies, and participate in international robotics competitions.

"We are excited to be teaming with the Saudi Federation of Robotics and RC Sports to deliver the power of robotics to Saudi Arabian students", said VEX Robotics Founder and CEO Tony Norman. "This is about empowering the future generation of innovators and problem-solvers with the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly dynamic world."

VEX Robotics has a hands-on robotics education product known as the VEX Continuum that reaches students from the elementary level to the university level. The RECF hosts the world's largest global robotics competition that makes students apply what they have learned in the classroom, build hands-on problem-solving, and work with others in changing environments.

“We are honored to partner with VEX Robotics and RECF to enhance the robotics landscape in Saudi Arabia,” said Abdullah Alsunaydi, CEO of the Saudi Federation of Robotics and RC Sports. “This partnership supports our mission to cultivate a knowledge-driven society, nurture innovation, and create new opportunities for our youth".

The partnership will prioritize increasing exposure to robotics instruction through teacher training and support and organizing competitions at the local, regional, and national levels. Such activities encourage students to pursue STEM and develop science, technology, and engineering career confidence.

In the future, VEX Robotics, RECF, and the Saudi Federation will work to develop a sustainable environment for robotics education in Saudi Arabia. With this alliance, students will have the opportunity to compete on the international scene, representing Saudi Arabia in global competitions.
