Aldar Education Unifies Learning Systems with Toddle Across UAE School

  • Aldar Education, the leading education provider in Abu Dhabi and one of the UAE’s most prominent school groups, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Toddle, an AI-first teaching and learning platform built by educators. The agreement will introduce a single, unified learning management system (LMS) across all 13 of Aldar Education’s operated schools.

The partnership aims to bring planning, teaching, assessment, feedback and reporting into one connected digital environment. While the system will deliver greater consistency across the network, each school will retain its own curriculum, educational approach and distinct identity. AI tools will be embedded inside teacher-led workflows so that personalisation remains under professional control and aligned with Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) data-protection and privacy requirements.

The MoU was signed by Sahar Cooper, Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Education, and Misbah Jafary, Cofounder of Toddle. It marks the next phase of Aldar Education’s digital learning strategy. By placing its British, American and International Baccalaureate schools on one connected platform, the group expects to strengthen the sharing of resources and expertise, give teachers a clearer longitudinal view of every student’s progress, and free educators to focus more time on teaching rather than administrative tasks.

For students, learning pathways will become more seamless from lesson planning and assignments through to feedback and progress tracking. Teacher-designed AI experiences, including AI tutors where judged appropriate, will offer additional support. Educators will decide when and how the technology is used. For teachers, planning, assessment and reporting will sit in a single workspace that includes a shared curriculum and resource library. This will make it easier to build on proven practice and maintain continuity as staff move between schools or the network expands.

Families will also benefit. Toddle will integrate with Live Aldar, Aldar Education’s parent application, creating a single access point for a child’s learning journey and school communications.

Sahar Cooper said: “The next stage of education will not be defined by how much technology schools adopt, but by how deliberately they use it. By partnering with Toddle, we are bringing every stage of learning onto one platform, giving teachers a complete picture of each student, making it easier to share best practice across our network and freeing up more time for what matters most: teaching. AI will sit inside the workflows our teachers already use, under their direction and within ADEK’s safeguards, so it deepens personalisation without replacing professional judgement. Pedagogy leads and technology serves it, so that every student’s progress is visible and supported throughout their journey in our schools.”

Deepanshu Arora, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Toddle, added: “The UAE is central to Toddle’s plans, and there is tremendous ambition across its education sector. Our recent inclusion on ADEK’s approved vendor list is an important milestone for us. Aldar’s focus on pedagogy and the student experience makes this partnership especially meaningful, and we’re excited to work with their educators to make learning more connected and personal for every student.”

The collaboration is deliberately aligned with ADEK’s in-school Technology and AI Policy. That policy sets clear requirements for the responsible adoption of AI and digital tools in Abu Dhabi private schools, covering data protection, student privacy, cognitive agency, academic integrity, human oversight, content safety, cultural alignment and algorithmic fairness. The partnership also supports ADEK’s wider AI Literacy initiative, which is progressively building age-appropriate AI capabilities from kindergarten to Grade 12, with an emphasis on critical thinking and responsible engagement.

Before selecting Toddle, Aldar Education conducted a group-wide assessment of pedagogy, functionality, security and the platform’s ability to operate consistently across different curricula and school contexts. Implementation will be phased. The first school to go live will be Bateen World Academy, after which the system will be rolled out across the remaining operated schools.

Aldar Education’s growth strategy has always combined capacity expansion with investment in the systems, people and learning environments that sustain quality. Founded in 2007 with a single school and 250 students, the group now operates 27 owned and managed schools serving more than 38,000 students and employs over 4,000 educators from more than 150 nationalities.

Its schools deliver British, American and IB programmes while embedding artificial intelligence and advanced technology to support academic excellence and prepare students for a rapidly changing world. Consistently strong, internationally benchmarked results that exceed global averages underwrite the group’s reputation among UAE families.

Through partnerships with leading UK institutions such as King’s College School Wimbledon, Cranleigh and Rugby School, Aldar Education continues to import globally recognised expertise and teaching methodologies while remaining rooted in UAE culture, values and national identity. The Toddle agreement fits this broader pattern: scaling not merely by adding buildings, but by strengthening the digital and pedagogical infrastructure that allows high-quality learning to travel with the network as it expands.

As the phased rollout begins, the focus remains on teacher agency, student visibility and family connection. Pedagogy will continue to lead; technology will serve it. The result, both partners intend, will be a more coherent, more personal and more sustainable learning experience for every student in Aldar Education’s operated schools.
