Infosys has strengthened its partnership with the University of Nottingham, one of the world’s top 100 universities according to the QS World University Rankings 2026, to further enhance the performance and security of the university’s Student Management System. Building on a successful collaboration that began in 2017, the partnership aims to modernize the university’s digital infrastructure, improve the student and academic experience, and ensure robust compliance across critical systems.
Since the start of their collaboration, Infosys has helped transform the University’s Student Information System, streamlining application processes, improving compliance reporting, and achieving remarkable results: incident volumes were reduced by 70 percent, system performance and availability increased by around 30 percent, and infrastructure costs were cut by over 35 percent, all while enhancing the overall user experience.

Under the extended collaboration, Infosys will continue supporting NottinghamHub, the university’s Student Information System, and will focus on modernizing infrastructure, improving student lifecycle processes, and strengthening web security through Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). The partnership will leverage advanced technologies, including Infosys Cobalt, a comprehensive cloud services platform, and Infosys Topaz Fabric, an AI-powered suite designed to unify data, applications, and workflows. These tools will enable a seamless, automated, and data-driven environment for the university’s 46,000 students and 12,000 staff across its campuses in the UK, Malaysia, and China.
Chris Hunt, Chief Operating Officer at the University of Nottingham, said the collaboration allows the university to set new benchmarks in higher education by enhancing reliability, security, and innovation in its digital ecosystem. Jo Simpson, Chief Revenue Officer, emphasized that the partnership would deepen industry-connected learning, providing students with real-world experience and skills critical for the future of engineering and digital technology.
