In a growing push to modernize small business operations through technology, Baemin Academy has partnered with Seocho District in Seoul to launch a specialized artificial intelligence (AI) marketing education program aimed at helping restaurant owners improve competitiveness in an increasingly digital food service industry. The initiative reflects how AI in restaurant management and digital marketing education are becoming essential tools for local business survival and growth in South Korea’s fast-changing economy.
According to Woowa Brothers, the parent company of Baemin, applications for the new course titled 'Seocho District and Baemin’s Restaurant Management Academy: AI Marketing for Restaurants That Stand Out' will be accepted until June 22. The program builds on an ongoing public-private partnership agreement established last year between Seocho District and Baemin Academy, which was designed to strengthen the competitiveness of the local restaurant sector through structured digital transformation training and hands-on education.
This initiative follows two earlier joint training sessions conducted last year, which focused on practical applications of AI-powered marketing strategies, platform optimization, and sales growth techniques tailored for restaurant businesses. Those sessions received strong feedback from participants, achieving an impressive 87% completion rate and an average satisfaction score of 9.8 out of 10, highlighting strong demand for AI education for small business owners.
The impact of the training was also reflected in real business outcomes. According to internal program evaluations, some restaurant owners who participated in follow-up one-on-one consulting sessions reported order increases of up to 86 percent. On average, participants experienced a 19.5 percent increase in orders after completing the program, demonstrating the tangible value of AI-driven business education in the food service industry.
Building on these results, this year’s course will place even greater emphasis on the practical application of AI tools for restaurant marketing. The program is designed to help participants quickly adopt AI technologies to improve customer targeting, enhance promotional strategies, and optimize online platform performance. Rather than focusing solely on theory, the curriculum aims to deliver immediately actionable techniques that restaurant owners can apply to their daily operations.

The training program is limited to 30 participants to ensure a more personalized learning experience. It will be conducted over five weekly sessions from June 29 to July 27, held alternately at the Baemin Academy Seoul Center and the Seocho District Office training facility. This structure is intended to provide both accessibility and a focused learning environment for small business owners.
The curriculum includes lectures from academic experts specializing in artificial intelligence in business, as well as experienced restaurant operators who have successfully implemented AI marketing strategies through the Baemin platform. Participants will explore real-world case studies, emerging trends in AI-driven food service innovation, and the future impact of automation and data analytics on the restaurant industry.
Seocho District Mayor Jeon Seongsoo emphasized the importance of equipping local business owners with the skills needed for the digital era, noting that the program combines hands-on AI training, expert mentorship, and practical case studies. He stated that the district will continue to support initiatives that help strengthen the competitiveness of small businesses and revitalize the local economy through technology-based education programs.
Meanwhile, Baemin Academy, operated by Woowa Brothers, has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding AI-focused training programs for restaurant owners beyond Seocho District. The academy plans to collaborate with additional local governments across South Korea, tailoring future programs to regional business needs while promoting broader adoption of AI-powered marketing and digital innovation in the restaurant industry.
