UAE Ambassador Engages With IIT Delhi Student Innovators

    UAE Ambassador to India, Abdulnasser Alshaali, hosted an intimate session with 40 students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi's Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) at the UAE Embassy in New Delhi, an official statement said.

    According to the statement, the conversation is a central part of the UAE Embassy's efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation in education, knowledge, innovation, and talent development. The session was intended to project the UAE as a prime partner of India's upcoming generation of student entrepreneurs and researchers, emphasizing the UAE's emphasis on technology-driven growth and state-of-the-art academic collaboration.

    As part of the open discussion, students and the Ambassador discussed educational avenues, particularly innovation and entrepreneurship, and a general conversation on the UAE-India alliance's future. Dr. Nikhil Agarwal, Managing Director at FITT, attended the event as the Guest of Honour and moderator of the session.

    "Today's conversation with these phenomenal student innovators from IIT Delhi showcases the spirit of education as the real bridge between our countries", added Ambassador Alshaali.

    "Through nurturing innovation, research, and knowledge transfer, we are building the cornerstone for a future where learning and technology propel prosperity. The UAE is dedicated to empowering young Indian talent, offering channels, and creating durable educational partnerships that will serve both nations", he added.

    "This interactive session provided FITT's incubatees and innovators with a worthwhile platform for interacting one-on-one with the UAE Ambassador. The UAE's dynamic education and innovation ecosystem is a potent motivator and reiterates the significance of the UAE-India tie as a catalyst for generating international opportunities", declared Dr. Agarwal.

    The remark highlighted how the conversation put emphasis on the increasing educational collaboration between IIT Delhi and the UAE, evidenced by the recent launch of IIT Delhi's Abu Dhabi campus, the institute's first international branch. This move represents a common interest in increasing academic and research collaboration, with a keen focus on innovation and entrepreneurship.

    Under this initiative, IIT Delhi's FITT is an important gateway, fostering student ventures and linking them to the opportunities in the UAE's emerging start-up and knowledge economy. Through these initiatives, a robust platform is created to connect education, research, and enterprise across the two countries, the statement added.
