Huawei staged the Smart Education Forum at GITEX GLOBAL 2025, showcasing cutting-edge solutions aimed at addressing major challenges in the sector, promoting digital inclusivity, and maximizing operational efficiency for schools and universities. Embracing education as a pillar of the region's digital transformation, the forum brought together top-notch educators, policymakers, and technology innovators to explore the revolutionizing impact of AI on the education landscape.
The conference was inaugurated with a welcome note by Peter Zhang, Huawei Global Public Business Unit Vice President, and then Alexander Michael, Frost & Sullivan's Global Vice President and ICT Advisory, presented his vision regarding the influence of AI to transform the education sector.
Mehedi Hasan Limon, Huawei Middle East and Central Asia Public Sector's Vice President, spoke on 'A New Blueprint for Intelligent Education', his vision of a 'digital education community' combining technology, services, and stakeholders to create a more efficient, inclusive, and sustainable learning system.
Anchored in Huawei’s Smart Education 1+3 All-Scenario Solution, the integrated system drives digital transformation in education by focusing on Digital Training, Smart Classroom, Smart Campus and Scientific research Leveraging technologies like Cloud, AI, and Big Data, it creates an intelligent, connected, and dynamic learning environment across all teaching, learning, management, and research activities.

In association with UNESCO IITE, Huawei also published ICT Skills Development Insight Reports with Recommendations, which provides future-proof, scalable solutions that adapt to changing institutional requirements and streamline deployment while limiting technical hurdles.
Utilizing cross-industry ICT knowledge and supported by Huawei global expertise and partner network, the program enables schools and universities to drive digital transformation, improve teaching quality, and develop inclusive, sustainable learning environments.

During the forum, Ekaterina Pushkareva, Programme Specialist, UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE), gave a presentation on 'AI-driven Digital Transformation of Higher Education'.
"AI is revolutionizing higher education, creating new possibilities for more inclusive, responsive, and forward-looking learning. Our collaboration with Huawei shows how cooperation between technology innovators and global organizations can spur such transformation regionally and globally, closing the digital divide, empowering educators and preparing students for digital economy success", she added.
The Smart Education Forum took place on October 14, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre as part of GITEX GLOBAL 2025. Visitors can join the discussion and explore Huawei’s booth in Hall 22.
