Pattaya City, Thailand, has partnered with South Korea’s Mokwon University to launch a Korean language camp aimed at preparing students for future educational and career opportunities linked to Korea. The camp kicked off on January 20, 2026, at Pattaya City School 7 (Ban Nong Phang Khae) and runs until January 22.
Deputy Mayor Kritsana Boonsawad welcomed Dr. Hee-Hak Lee, President of Mokwon University, and his delegation during the opening ceremony. The event was attended by local education officials, school leaders, teachers, and 70 upper secondary students (Grades 10-12).
The camp, part of Pattaya’s foreign language development program, focuses on enhancing students’ Korean language skills, promoting positive attitudes toward Korean culture, and laying a foundation for future study or careers in Korea. Native Korean instructors and Mokwon University specialists lead the sessions, combining language learning with practical exercises to help students apply their skills in daily life and professional contexts.
