UAE Launches Secure AI Competition to Build Future-Ready Student Skill

    • National AI competition launched to promote safe and ethical AI learning
    • School and university students gain hands-on skills in secure AI development
    • Top performers receive career pathways and industry exposure

The UAE Cyber Security Council has partnered with Safe AI Cup 2026 to promote the ethical, secure, and responsible use of artificial intelligence in education. The collaboration aims to equip students with future-ready digital skills while strengthening the country’s secure AI ecosystem.

Under the partnership, the Council will sponsor and host the Secure AI Cup 2026, encouraging students across the UAE to actively engage with artificial intelligence beyond basic usage. The program focuses on helping learners understand how secure AI technologies shape everyday life, education, and future careers. It also aligns with the CyberE71 program, which supports young talent and prepares them for roles in the digital economy.

The Safe AI Cup is part of the broader 'Safe AI for Society' initiative, organized by the Emirates Safer Internet Society, the Robotics and Automation Society, and Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The competition will be hosted by the University of Dubai.

The competition features two tracks: one for school students and another for university students. The university track, led by CyberE71, will support high-performing participants by linking them to incubator programs and job market opportunities.

Students will develop practical generative AI projects for education, such as learning tools and safety systems, with a strong focus on privacy, ethics, and security. Participation is free, and school students aged 11 to 18 are encouraged to apply.
