Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (UDINUS) has launched Central Java’s first Blockchain Study Center in partnership with the Indonesia Blockchain Center (IBC), affiliated with Dubai Blockchain Center, establishing the university as a regional hub for blockchain education, research, and innovation.
The launch coincided with the inauguration of the IBC Chapter at UDINUS, giving students and faculty access to global networks and expertise. A Training of Trainers (ToT) program, led by certified instructors from Dubai Blockchain Center, aims to build a skilled pool of blockchain educators and practitioners to support teaching, research, and industry collaboration.
Prof. Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, Rector of UDINUS, received an award from Dubai Blockchain Center, IBC, and Sealbound UAE for his leadership in advancing digital transformation. UDINUS also announced it will become Indonesia’s first university to issue 100 percent blockchain-based graduation certificates, ensuring secure, forgery-proof credentials and enabling fast, global verification.

International partners, including Sealbound UAE and NEXSTOX Malaysia, attended the event, reflecting UDINUS’ commitment to global collaboration. Hosted at the Faculty of Computer Science, the center will be supported by 30 certified trainers and aims to serve as a national model for blockchain adoption in education and anti-fraud systems.
This milestone strengthens Indonesia’s blockchain ecosystem and positions Central Java as an emerging hub for digital innovation and workforce development.
