Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) is leading the way in smart education at GITEX Global 2025, held from October 13 to 17 in Dubai. The university is showcasing its use of artificial intelligence (AI) to reshape higher education, supporting the UAE’s national goals for digital transformation and knowledge economy growth.
A key highlight is HBMSU’s new initiative, 'An AI Agent for Every Faculty Member', launched in September 2025. This tool offers personalized, data driven support to faculty, cutting content development time by 85% and reducing faculty workload by 95%. It has also improved student learning mastery by 40%, showing how AI can enhance both teaching and learning.
This project aligns with the UAE’s National AI Strategy 2031 and Education Strategy 2033, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global center for AI powered education. HBMSU’s Chancellor, Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, said GITEX is a platform where technology meets vision, enabling initiatives that empower educators and learners alike. He called education "the smartest investment in shaping the future".
