Far Eastern University Institute of Technology (FEU Tech) has been awarded Tier 1 accreditation by the Philippine Technological Council (PTC), placing it among the country’s top engineering schools. This prestigious recognition confirms that FEU Tech’s Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, and Mechanical Engineering programs meet the highest international standards.
The PTC represents the Philippines in the Washington Accord, an international agreement among 25 countries including the US, UK, Japan, China, and Singapore. This accord sets rigorous quality benchmarks for engineering education worldwide. With this recognition, FEU Tech graduates receive credentials that are respected globally, opening doors for advanced studies, professional licensure, and job opportunities in competitive markets around the world.
Benson Tan, FEU Tech’s Senior Executive Director, expressed pride in this achievement. He said, “This Tier 1 status is a powerful proof of the quality of our curriculum, faculty, and graduates. Our students now have access to a world of opportunities with degrees that are both globally respected and professionally competitive”.
Tier 1 accreditation is awarded only to institutions that show strong leadership, quality assurance, and a positive impact on the engineering profession. For FEU Tech, it’s an endorsement of their commitment to academic excellence and their role as a leading engineering institution.
