Abu Dhabi, UAE – 42 Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital’s pioneering coding academy, recently concluded its inaugural Techpreneur Summit, gathering learners, industry partners, and stakeholders to promote entrepreneurship, cross-sector innovation, and technology-driven solutions with real societal impact.
The Summit aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision to build a dynamic innovation ecosystem, providing learners a platform to interact with investors, industry leaders, and entrepreneurship enablers. Early-stage ventures were showcased across sectors such as healthcare, education, sustainability, digital services, and community development, highlighting how technology can solve real-world challenges.
A key highlight of the event was HACK4IMPACT, a social-impact hackathon organized in partnership with Athar+, Abu Dhabi’s hub for social innovation. Conducted under the UAE’s Year of Community, the hackathon brought together talent to develop actionable digital solutions, helping participants turn concepts into validated prototypes that can make a tangible difference.
Dr. Ahmed Al Shoaibi, Acting CEO of 42 Abu Dhabi, said, “Entrepreneurship has become an essential part of the learning journey at 42 Abu Dhabi. By combining peer-to-peer education with entrepreneurial exposure, we enable learners to transform practical skills into real ventures that address national priorities. The Techpreneur Summit provides an environment where ideas are challenged, supported, and strengthened by the wider ecosystem”.
The Summit also featured 10 learner-led start-ups presented through dedicated innovation pods. These ventures focused not just on technology but on the impact of their solutions, from improving hospital patient flow and enhancing SME productivity with AI, to advancing marine conservation, transforming peer learning, and simplifying public access to information. The projects highlighted the academy’s growing pipeline of tech-enabled ventures addressing critical sectors such as healthcare triage, SME competitiveness, sustainability, education, cybersecurity, and visitor experience.

In addition to innovation showcases, the event included three signing ceremonies with key partners, including Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM), Khalifa Innovation Centre (KIC), and Infinia, reflecting 42 Abu Dhabi’s commitment to expanding collaborative pathways for research, talent development, and entrepreneurial growth. Participants also benefited from one-to-one consultation booths hosted by Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, AB Consultancy, Visionaries, and Infinia, offering guidance on business development, funding readiness, market positioning, and venture acceleration.
The Techpreneur Summit reinforces 42 Abu Dhabi’s mission to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset among learners and prepare them to contribute to the UAE’s knowledge-based, innovation-driven economy. Through collaboration, technical coaching, and opportunities to build impactful ventures, the academy continues to develop the next generation of techpreneurs ready to shape the future of innovation in the UAE.
