The School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh has moved a step ahead in transforming home-based learning with the introduction of Swayam Siddhi Chatbot, an innovative mobile-driven initiative for student engagement in improving their academic practice beyond the classroom. Developed by the State Education Centre, the chatbot is a significant improvement in the state's education ecosystem, wherein students will get a reliable digital companion that guarantees continuity of learning under all conditions.
Introduced in 2019, when schools across the country were struggling to function normally owing to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Swayam Siddhi has grown into a widely used learning tool among students from primary grades up to class 12. This revival and expansion reflect the department's continued commitment to the integration of technology into mainstream education and making quality learning accessible to every child.
The Swayam Siddhi Chatbot is designed to help students maintain consistent academic practice from home, a habit that educators have long recognized as essential for sustained learning progress. The platform offers new, SCERT-certified questions every Saturday, enabling students to feel consistently challenged regarding their knowledge of different subjects. One of the most powerful features of this chatbot is simplicity: by typing a basic greeting like 'Hi', students immediately get questions, answers, scores, and even remedial learning videos.
This immediate and interactive system, known as Swift Chat, makes learning more engaging and independent of physical classroom settings and supplementary tutorials. Therefore, students from remote, rural, or resource-deficit areas-who have limited access to quality instructional material-can continue unhindered in their academic journey.

Behind the scenes, the Assessment Cell of the State Education Centre has been at the heart of developing and operating the chatbot. The initiative has received much-needed technological collaboration by ConveGenius, an ed-tech organization working to democratize learning outcomes through digital interventions. Their collaboration has not only strengthened the usability of the chatbot but has also enabled the state to make its assessment ecosystem more scientific, data-driven and systematic.
The chatbot helps the department track student responses and performance to pinpoint learning gaps and tailor interventions more precisely. Recent times have shed light on the increasing influence of Swayam Siddhi through a live introductory program on the State Education Centre’s official YouTube channel. During this session, senior officials such as Dr. Arun Singh, Additional Director of the Centre; Dr. Brijesh Saxena, Controlling Officer of the Evaluation Cell; Dr. Sushma Bajpai, Coordinator; and Diksha Aahi from the ConveGenius Foundation, discussed the effectiveness of the chatbot and its significant reach for both students and teachers.
They emphasized how the tool helped in improving learning outcomes and fostering self-directed practice, particularly in areas where educational resources are scarce. With an expanding user base and growing acceptance, the Swayam Siddhi Chatbot is rapidly acquiring the position of one of Madhya Pradesh’s most effective digital mediums for equitable and continuous education.
