Global tech care leader Asurion opened its newest customer solutions center in Cebu City, marking a major expansion in the Philippines that will create approximately 2,000 local jobs over the next two years.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony at Faustina Center in Bonifacio District drew company executives, government officials, and Cebu community leaders. The six-floor facility strengthens Asurion's capacity to deliver tech support for phones, gaming systems, appliances, and connected devices to its 230 million worldwide customers.
"Cebu reflects our confidence in the Philippines as critical to global operations", said CEO Guru Gowrappan. 'Technology's growing role in daily life demands reliable support, and this talented team will deliver exceptional experiences worldwide.'
This Cebu hub joins Asurion's existing Philippine operations: customer service centers in Santa Rosa, Iloilo, and Clark; a remanufacturing plant in Calamba City; and a technology hub in Bonifacio Global City. The expansion underscores Asurion's long-term investment in Filipino talent.
"We've built a strong foundation here, and Cebu is our important next growth step", said VP Customer Solutions Adam Hachey. The company actively recruits for technical support, customer care, HR, IT, operations, training, digital marketing, and workplace roles.
