Cardiff University is making a bold move in the world of global higher education with a new partnership that will bring its undergraduate and postgraduate degrees directly to Singapore through one of the country’s leading private education providers, SIM Global Education (SIM GE). The collaboration marks a significant step in expanding the university’s presence in transnational education (TNE) and strengthening its global academic footprint.

Starting from October 2026, students in Singapore will be able to enroll in a range of Cardiff University programs without leaving the region. The offerings include undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Computer Science with Security and Forensics, along with postgraduate options such as an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Statistical Analytics and an MSc in Sustainable Supply Chain Management. These programs are designed to align with growing global demand for advanced digital skills, cybersecurity expertise, AI-driven analytics, and sustainability-focused business solutions.

University leaders say the partnership reflects a broader strategy to expand access to high-quality education in international markets while responding to rapidly evolving industry needs. Cardiff University Vice-Chancellor Professor Wendy Larner highlighted that the agreement with SIM GE represents a key milestone in the institution’s ambition to deepen its global engagement and explore new avenues of academic delivery.

She noted that transnational education (TNE) has become a core pillar of Cardiff’s long-term vision, enabling the university to extend its teaching excellence beyond the UK and into fast-growing education hubs like Singapore. By embedding its degree programs within a trusted local institution, Cardiff aims to create more flexible and accessible pathways for students while maintaining academic standards.

The partnership is expected to elevate both Cardiff University and SIM GE on the international stage, reinforcing Singapore’s role as a regional education hub and strengthening Cardiff’s position in the competitive global higher education landscape.
