Don Bosco and Germany Collaborate to Advance Vocational Education

    • Germany and Don Bosco expand vocational training in the Philippines
    • New facilities offer hands-on learning in engineering and manufacturing
    • Initiative strengthens student employability and job readiness

Germany has strengthened its commitment to vocational education in the Philippines with new training facilities at Don Bosco Technical Institute in Makati. The collaboration aims to equip Filipino students with practical skills in manufacturing, engineering, and automation.

The Industrial Mechanic Room, developed in partnership with German companies KSB and Porsche, provides apprenticeships that align with global industry standards. German Ambassador Andreas Michael Pfaffernoschke, who attended the inauguration, emphasized the importance of vocational training in preparing a skilled workforce.

Another milestone was reached with the opening of the Johannes Klein Training Room, a project by Don Bosco One TVET Philippines and the KSB Foundation. This facility offers programs designed to give students the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. The ceremony was led by Fr. Jerry Santos, SDB, with key representatives from both organizations highlighting the shared goal of bridging education and employment.
