The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Abu Dhabi Aviation Group to strengthen practical training in aircraft maintenance and prepare skilled professionals for the aviation industry.
The partnership will support the Al Jeer Practical Maintenance Experience Programme, which offers hands-on training to help national talent gain real-world exposure in aircraft maintenance. The initiative focuses on building technical skills, improving employability, and creating clear job pathways within the aviation sector.
Under the agreement, both sides will work together to design and implement structured training programs aligned with GCAA regulations. The framework also includes supervision systems to ensure quality training and smooth coordination between stakeholders.
The MoU was signed by Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of GCAA, and Mahmood Al Hay Hameli, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Aviation Group.

Al Suwaidi said the agreement reflects GCAA’s commitment to developing national talent through strong partnerships. He highlighted that hands-on maintenance training plays a key role in preparing young professionals to meet industry needs and support the long-term growth of aviation.
Hameli noted that the Al Jeer program aims to equip citizens with specialized practical skills, support Emiratisation goals, and develop a highly qualified workforce for the aviation sector.
