- Combines top academics with elite football training for ages 2–18
- Man City-certified coach to lead football programme within school curriculum
Highgate International School Thailand and Manchester City Football Club have announced a landmark partnership to launch the first Manchester City Football School in Thailand. The football programme will be part of Highgate’s new international campus in Chonburi, set to open in August 2026.
This collaboration combines 460 years of educational heritage from the UK based Highgate School with Manchester City’s elite football coaching methods, offering students a truly holistic education experience.
Highgate Thailand will follow the English National Curriculum and cater to students aged 2 to 18. As part of this unique partnership, a certified Manchester City coach will be stationed full time at the school, delivering training aligned with the club’s world-renowned playing philosophy. Students will have access to football sessions during school hours, along with extracurricular and competitive sports programmes.
The initiative aims to nurture both academic success and personal development, using football to build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and physical wellbeing. The school will be located near the Siam Country Club, offering a modern learning environment designed to foster curiosity, kindness, and ambition.
Ben Keeling, Founding Head of Highgate Thailand, said the collaboration reflects the school’s mission to go beyond traditional learning by offering opportunities that inspire excellence in all areas of life.
