Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei met with Mohammed Al-Qasim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates, accompanied by his delegation, to discuss aspects of enhancing educational cooperation between Kuwait and the UAE. The Ministry of Education said in a statement that the meetings discussed reviewing the strong educational relations between the two countries and finding mechanisms for developing cooperation within the context of the existing educational cooperation agreement.
Both sides expressed their keenness on bolstering relations in education and discussed practical measures which could be taken to put into operation and activate provisions of the agreement effectively. The meeting also discussed the expansion of joint programs and initiatives to enhance the learning systems of both countries through shared curricula, exchange programs for educators and students, and collaborative research opportunities.
Emphasis, however, has been made to ensure implementation strategies at the operational front so that the agreement benefits schools, universities, and other educational institutions in practical ways. It stressed the need to align educational endeavors with modern global standards and highlighted innovation, quality, and inclusivity as hallmarks of this cooperation.
On the Kuwaiti side, the key officials were Acting Undersecretary Mohammed Al-Khaldi, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Hamad Al-Hamad, Director General of Educational Support Services Mariam Al-Anzi, and Director of Public Relations and Educational Media Department Arwa Al-Ayyar. Their presence revealed the extra effort by Kuwait in promoting mutual institutional support and enabling the effective implementation of bilateral educational programs and projects.
The Emirati delegation included senior officials such as Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services Hamad Bal-Muhaina, Acting Director of the International Cooperation Department Asma Al-Tunaiji, Senior Protocol Specialist Ahmed Al-Obaidli, Special Projects Specialist Reem Al-Nuaimi, and International Relations Specialist Amira Al-Amiri. Their participation reflected the UAE's commitment to furthering cooperative programs and ensuring the success of joint educational projects.

Both parties confirmed that education is a cornerstone in the development of bilateral relations and a base for cultural and intellectual exchange. The meeting concluded with an agreement by both parties to continue dialogue, consolidate administrative coordination, and implement the agreed-upon initiatives effectively. Focusing on the practical implementation of this task and utilizing all the best practices of both educational systems, during the meeting, the parties outlined a plan for further expansion of cooperation with a view to achieving common goals.
