Malaysian High Commissioner Mohd Shuhada Othman formally opened the Study in Malaysia Education Fair 2025 in July at Hotel Sarina in Banani, Dhaka. Hosted by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), the education fair is being organized in three major cities Dhaka, Khulna, and Chattogram throughout the month, aiming to boost academic linkages and position Malaysia as a hub for international education.
The exhibition brings together delegates from leading Malaysian public and private universities, including Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), and UCSI University, among others. These institutions offer a wide range of globally recognised undergraduate and postgraduate programs across fields such as engineering, medicine, business, and information technology.
During his address at the inauguration, the Malaysian High Commissioner highlighted the growing interest in Malaysian higher education, emphasizing its affordability, academic quality, and internationally accredited degrees. The fair provides students and parents the opportunity to interact directly with university representatives, gaining insights into admissions, scholarship opportunities, and career prospects.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the High Achievers Awards, where top SSC, HSC, O-Level, and A-Level students from 178 institutions were honoured with certificates and medals for academic excellence.
The launch event was attended by Moeen Ud Din Ahmed Khan, EMGS Regional Manager for South Asia; Sherene Azli, Chief Marketing Officer of KPJ Healthcare Berhad; senior officials from the Malaysian High Commission, and university delegates. Arif Syed, Chairman of Knowledge Hub Bangladesh, facilitated the programme.
Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) warmly invites students, parents, and education sector stakeholders to participate in the Study in Malaysia Education Fair 2025 during July, and explore the world-class higher education opportunities in Malaysia.
