OpenLearning Limited (ASX: OLL) has strengthened its position in the global education technology space through an expanded AI-powered learning management system delivered under a SaaS model for institutions worldwide. The company recently announced a strategic SaaS agreement with Philippine Normal University, a major milestone reinforcing its growth across the Southeast Asia education sector. The partnership, facilitated through CE-Logic Inc., highlights growing adoption of intelligent digital learning platforms in national education systems.

The agreement was secured after a competitive procurement process, with Philippine Normal University selecting OpenLearning following a rigorous evaluation of multiple providers. Recognised as the National Center for Teacher Education, the institution will deploy the platform as its core LMS for digital learning transformation. The initial rollout will support 5,000 students for Academic Year 2026-2027, in line with government procurement rules, with a pathway to expand coverage to nearly 12,000 students under a longer-term arrangement.

PNU’s selection was driven by OpenLearning’s advanced AI course creation capabilities, which enable educators to rapidly design and deploy digital curricula. The platform also offers outcomes-based assessment, ensuring students are evaluated through measurable learning outcomes aligned with institutional standards. Additional features such as integrated portfolio tools, secure cloud infrastructure, and lifelong learning features support PNU’s broader modernisation program aimed at transforming teacher education delivery nationwide.

The collaboration is further strengthened by the CE-Logic reseller agreement, which plays a central role in OpenLearning’s regional expansion strategy. Through this partnership, CE-Logic delivers the Generative AI assistant and AI course builder, along with training and technical support to ensure smooth implementation. This model reflects a scalable go-to-market strategy across the Philippines, where a growing pipeline of LMS opportunities is being developed for institutions seeking digital transformation solutions.

Although the initial contract is valued at approximately A$30,000 and is not considered financially significant, it is viewed as a highly valuable reference customer engagement for future growth. The deal validates OpenLearning’s position in institutional sales within emerging education markets and demonstrates increasing trust in digital learning ecosystems. It also strengthens the company’s presence in the region following a competitive procurement process, reinforcing its strategic expansion across the education technology landscape.
