    • The UAE has extended remote learning for all higher education institutions until April 17, with in-person classes only for priority programs requiring physical presence, such as labs and practicals.
    • Universities are urged to collaborate with local authorities to ensure the quality of teaching and academic assessments are maintained during this period of remote learning.
    • The Ministry of Higher Education will conduct weekly reviews and provide updates, enabling institutions to adapt quickly to any changes in the situation.

The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has announced the extension of remote learning for all higher education institutions until April 17. In a circular issued on Tuesday, the Ministry stated that universities and colleges should continue online learning, with in-person classes allowed only for programs that require physical attendance, such as labs or practicals. These in-person sessions will be conducted under strict health and safety protocols to protect both students and staff.

MoHESR has urged universities to work closely with local authorities to ensure that education quality and academic assessment standards are not compromised during this period. Institutions are encouraged to stay flexible and adapt as the situation evolves.
