- Wesleyan University-Philippines renews partnership with Smart under SWEEP.
- The program now focuses on AI, automation, and intelligent systems.
- Students gain industry-relevant skills like AI-assisted coding and data analysis.
Wesleyan University-Philippines has renewed its collaboration with Smart Communications under the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP), now in its fifth phase. The program shifts its focus to artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and intelligent systems, aligning with the rapid digital transformation shaping industries worldwide.
Dr. Irineo Alvaro Jr., president of the university, emphasized the importance of AI in enhancing human capability rather than replacing it. Through this partnership, students will learn vital skills in areas such as AI-assisted coding, data analysis, prompt engineering, and generative tools technologies that are increasingly critical in today’s tech-driven world.
Phase 5 of the program also introduces students to extended reality (XR), which includes virtual, augmented, and mixed reality, allowing learners to interact with digital environments in new and innovative ways. Additionally, students will explore the concepts behind the metaverse and network disaggregation, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of the latest digital trends.
