MoE Launches 2025 Summer Abroad Programme for Top Students

    • MoE launches 2025 Summer Abroad Programme for 270 Grade 10-11 students in top global innovation hubs
    • Students receive experiential training in AI, leadership, and entrepreneurship across 6 countries
    • MoE unveils new school uniforms and outlets, aligning with UAE's revamped education sector framework

The Ministry of Education (MoE) launched the 2025 Summer Abroad Programme, which took 270 exceptional Grade 10 and 11 public school students to top international universities and research centers.

The program aligns with MoE's vision of providing future generations with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute to national progress, along with enhancing students' learning experiences by allowing them to study at renowned institutions.

Taking place during July and August, the program provides students with high-level international training and learning experiences to expand their knowledge, improve their scholastic and personal competencies and further enhance their insight into innovation across areas like AI, leadership and entrepreneurship. The program also facilitates them to make the right career decisions, establish global knowledge networks and acquire long-term competencies for outperformance in education and innovation.

Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of Education, stated, "The Summer Abroad Programme provides students with experiential training at the world's best scientific institutes, promoting academic enrichment, self-improvement, and wider cultural and scientific horizons".

The Summer Abroad Programme 2025 comprises field trips and specialized training in six of the world's leading innovation clusters – Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea, Russia and Malaysia. The programme is guided by 29 trained academic supervisors and this year's programme also hosts students of determination from Japan and South Korea.

The Ministry recently made school uniform garments available to students in public schools from kindergarten up to Grade 12 in anticipation of the 2025-2026 school year. MoE has published a detailed guide for uniform designs by grade and cycle, cost, and the addresses of 53 approved outlets for selling the uniforms. These are 48 LuLu Hypermarket outlets in all emirates, as well as some schools in Al Sila'a (Al Dhafra), Al Wagan and Al Qua'a (Al Ain), and Dalma Island.

The new school uniform is a reflection of the Ministry's new institutional vision. This shift comes in tandem with the new education sector framework, rolled out in July 2024, and the visual identity of the public education sector, released earlier this February.

It reflects the Ministry's determination to enhance comprehensive individual growth as a primary pillar of an integrated education system to match its vision to harmonize UAE education with international standards.
