IMS Noida PGDM Students Begin Malaysia Immersion Journey

    • IMS Noida organized a five-day International Immersion Program in Malaysia for PGDM students to enhance global business acumen and cross-cultural sensitivity.
    • The program included academic sessions on AI logistics, data-driven supply chains, and smart city development, along with industry visits and cultural experiences.
    • Students also engaged with Lincoln University Malaysia, culminating in a certificate ceremony that celebrated their participation and international learning exposure.

Striking a step further in its initiative to promote international academic exposure and sensitivity towards other cultures, Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Noida recently organized an International Immersion Program for its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) students in Malaysia. The five-day program was divided in equal parts between academics, industry visits, and cultural exposure, and was designed to empower the students with future skills and business awareness worldwide.

The course focused on the existing world business trends such as Artificial Intelligence logistics, Supply Chain management using data analytics, green supply chain methods, and smart city development. The existing problems were addressed through a series of sessional presentation and experiential learning exercises. One of the other features of the program was the academic interaction with Lincoln University Malaysia, wherein the students listened to motivating lectures and ended their program in a valedictory session and certificate award ceremony as a token of appreciation for being a part of this widely acclaimed international program.

Talking about the program, Director General IMS Noida Prof. Dr. Vikas Dhawan said, "At IMS Noida, we subscribe to the belief that learning cannot be confined to classrooms and borders. The Malaysia Immersion Program was conceptualized with the vision of giving our students global vision, future-proof skills, and first-hand exposure to global business practices. Global exposure is important in shaping future-thinking leaders and world-impacting professionals".

A mix of mind-bending and experience of rich Malaysian heritage, the students interacted with the country's age-old traditions. From Kuala Lumpur city tour and experiences of legendary places like Minera Tower and Putrajaya to visits to Batu Caves and scenic Genting Highlands, the experience enriched their appreciations of cross-cultural diversity and worldviews", Dr. Dhawan added.

This International Immersion Program has enriched the PGDM students of IMS Noida with valuable knowledge of global business practices and cross-cultural sensitivity. So they come back not only with improved knowledge in a classroom but also with wider vision, well placed to assume the leadership responsibilities in this more globalized world economy today.
