At the 2025 Hong Kong Book Fair, the Law Society of Hong Kong debuted Legal Bears' Courtroom Adventure, a children's illustrated book that introduces children to the basics of the rule of law and common law system by telling them a story about a bear family visiting the Court of Final Appeal. Written with the advice of experienced solicitors, the book breaks down difficult legal concepts like judicial independence and equality before the law into clear and understandable terms for children.
Law Society President Roden Tong stressed the organization's role to educate children to distinguish right from wrong, particularly as they learn new ideas. He termed the book a valuable source for parents and a good step in growing up with a law-abiding attitude. Children such as five-year-old Pak-kiu were attracted to the book's delightful pictures and legal figures at the fair. He openly displayed his new learning, ranging from court etiquette to the imagery of Lady Justice, along with participating in interactive games in the Law Society booths.
This publication sits alongside the Law Society's wider public legal education efforts, including the 'Teen Talk' Greater Bay Area (GBA) Study Tour, which recently took more than 80 students from Hong Kong and Shenzhen to Shenzhen legal institutions. Conducted wholly in English, the tour gave students firsthand experience of the mutual coexistence and complementarity between legal systems in 'One Country, Two Systems'. Students toured courts, had discussions, and took part in a group competition on 'Sports and Law', learning about Hong Kong as a global legal and dispute resolution center.

The competition emphasized students' capacity to combine research and technology, guided by volunteer solicitor mentors who assisted in framing their presentations. Cross-border cultural exchanges extended cross-border friendships from mealtime to lighthearted photo shoots and promoted both intellectual and personal development.
Members characterized the tour as life-changing. King George V School and King's College London students credited inspiration, broadened perspectives, and a rekindled resolve to become lawyers. As the Law Society embarks on expanding its programs, its work still forges a generation of compassionate, well-informed leaders capable of maintaining justice and promoting Hong Kong's distinguishing legal identity internationally.
