A new wave of AI education in Oxford is taking shape as Oxford Royale Academy teams up with MIT RAISE to bring cutting-edge artificial intelligence learning directly into its summer school experience. The collaboration introduces the MIT RAISE FutureBuilders pathway, a structured AI literacy curriculum designed to help teenagers not just use technology, but actually understand and build with it.
Starting this summer, students attending Oxford Royale Academy’s Oxford summer school programs will have the opportunity to complete this immersive AI learning track developed by MIT’s Responsible AI for Social Empowerment and Education initiative. The program, co-created with Pharos Education, focuses on equipping students aged 13 to 18 with both technical foundations and ethical awareness, covering how AI systems work, how they are trained, and why responsible use matters in real-world applications.
Upon completion, students will earn an official MIT RAISE certificate, signaling their exposure to one of the most forward-looking AI education programs for teens currently available. The initiative comes at a time when AI skills are rapidly becoming essential across industries, with schools and governments worldwide racing to integrate AI literacy for students into mainstream education.
