Tether and Bitqik Launch Digital Asset Education Program in Laos

    Tether and Bitqik have partnered to launch a digital asset education program in Laos, aiming to raise awareness and understanding of blockchain-based financial tools, including stablecoins like USD. The initiative is designed to equip students and communities with practical knowledge of digital assets.

    Bitqik, a licensed digital asset exchange in Laos, will lead local educational activities under the program. It offers cryptocurrency trading, Bitcoin brokerage, and digital asset transfer services. Through its Bitqik Academy, the company plans to deliver online courses and quarterly in-person events in cities including Vientiane, Pakse, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang.

    The program will cover practical use cases for stablecoins, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency applications. It is structured to reach an estimated 10,000 participants via a combination of digital learning materials, seminars, and roadshows.

    Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, said, the initiative aims to improve public understanding of stablecoins and help communities engage with the digital economy. Virasack ViravongCEO of Bitqik added that the programs will continue through 2026, focusing on hands-on education about blockchain, Bitcoin, and stablecoins.

    The collaboration underscores a growing emphasis on skills development and job-readiness in the digital finance sector across Southeast Asia. By offering accessible learning opportunities, the initiative seeks to build both technical knowledge and practical skills, preparing participants for roles in the emerging digital economy.
