Egypt's Ministry of Health has sent six nursing experts to Saku University in Japan to attend an advanced training program on nursing management. The program forms part of the Egypt-Japan Education and Human Development Partnership, an initiative aimed at promoting high-quality healthcare services in Egypt through international collaboration.
The team includes members representing the General Administration of Nursing as well as hospitals in the New Administrative Capital, El Shorouk, and Beni Suef. The training program aims at enhancing managerial and technical capacities with the view to enabling the transfer of global best practices towards enhancing healthcare delivery in Egypt.
Hanady Mohamed, Director of the Medical Professions Development Sector, underlined the fact that the participants were chosen according to strict criteria to guarantee a qualitative representation of Egypt's nursing professionals. Nevine Mohamed, Director of the General Administration of Nursing, added that the program intends to equip future leaders in nursing with the ability to keep up with the international developments.

Esraa Abouzeid, Director of Training Centres, pointed out that the collaboration with Japan demonstrates the ministry's efforts to grow international partnerships in professional training. The ceremony at the opening included comments from Saku University and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), highlighting the bilateral relationship's depth.
One of the participants mentioned that she is thankful for the chance, promising to use the knowledge acquired to help improve Egypt's healthcare system. This training program is valuable progress in Egypt's continued quest to increase the capacities of its nursing professionals and upgrade the general level of quality in health care services.
