Abu Dhabi Schools Roll Out Student Initiative to Advance Future Skills

    • ADEK launches a student tribute program across Abu Dhabi schools, open to all grades and backgrounds
    • Initiative focuses on building creativity, communication, and real-world skills through art, music, writing, and innovation
    • Student work to be featured in a digital gallery in June 2026, with select projects showcased in public spaces

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has launched a new student initiative aimed at building creativity, communication, and real-world skills. Called the Frontliners Tribute Initiative, it is part of the National Art Expressions Program and aligns with the UAE’s National Resilience campaign.

The program invites students from all grades across Abu Dhabi to take part by creating projects that express appreciation for frontline workers. These include healthcare professionals, educators, and others who support the community. Students can choose how they want to participate, using formats such as writing, art, music, or innovative ideas.

The initiative goes beyond a typical school activity. It encourages students to develop important skills such as creative thinking, storytelling, emotional expression, and problem-solving. By working on these projects, students also gain exposure to real-world themes like community service and national pride.

ADEK has designed the program as non-competitive, ensuring that every student has a chance to participate and be recognized. This approach supports inclusive learning and builds confidence among students from different backgrounds and skill levels.

Selected works will be featured in a digital gallery set to launch in June 2026. Some projects may also be displayed in public spaces, giving students wider visibility and recognition for their efforts.

Submissions will open on April 27 and close on May 11, 2026. Schools and families are encouraged to support students in taking part. Through this initiative, ADEK aims to combine education with creativity, helping students build skills that are valuable for future careers while promoting a strong sense of community.
