The Asian Institute of Hospitality & Management (AIHM) in Thailand recently unveiled a new partnership with the Northern Consortium United Kingdom (NCUK), becoming the nation's newest accredited NCUK Study Centre. The partnership, launched on August 18, 2025, presents Thai and other Asian students with opportunities to pursue studies at over 60 UK, Australian, New Zealand, and USA universities through globally accepted pathway programmes.
Through this program, AIHM now provides three programs aimed at preparing students for higher education abroad: the International Foundation Year, International Year One, and Master's Preparation. These programs are specifically designed to fill the gap between national qualifications and international academic requirements. Students completing these are assured places in NCUK partner universities.
The International Foundation Year enables students to start their degree in Thailand before moving abroad to complete the final three years. The cost of the course is approximately $12,016 (THB 390,000) and is available to students aged 17 and older with an IELTS result of 5.0 or equivalent, with pathways in Business and IT. The International Year One pathway has an even quicker entry, where students can study one year in Thailand before joining the second year of their undergraduate degree abroad.

Specializations are Accounting & Finance, Business Management, Events Management, and Computer Science. For those seeking to proceed to postgraduate study, the Master's Preparation pathway has 10-week and 20-week courses available, at a fee between $3,050 and $4,899 (THB 99,000–159,000).
Chris Meylan, Minor Education's Chief Operating Officer, described the power of the partnership, stating, "What NCUK offers is a very targeted curriculum that has been vetted by all these 60 universities, combined with a strict but consistent quality of teaching and assessment so that every single student around the globe is given the same standard". He went on to say that over 90 percent of students who study NCUK courses gain a place at one of their first two university choices due to the intense academic framework and highly structured system of student support.
Long recognized for its hospitality education in a Swiss style, AIHM views this alliance as a significant move to broaden its academic course offerings. The institute is now venturing beyond hospitality to meet increasing demand for international business, IT, and computer science degrees, remaining faithful to its mission of providing 'life-changing opportunities for students wanting to study abroad'.
