    • Students gain access to globally recognized degrees and career-focused skills
    • Courses aligned with employability and future workforce needs

Charles Sturt University is expanding its global footprint with the launch of a new campus in Sri Lanka, bringing internationally recognized Australian education closer to students in the region. The campus will be developed in partnership with Prospects Education and is expected to welcome its first batch of students in the second half of 2026.

The Sri Lanka campus will initially offer programs in business and early childhood education, two fields closely linked to job readiness and skills development. The university also plans to add courses in information technology, psychology, engineering, and health in later phases, aligning with growing demand for skilled professionals across sectors.

Professor Renée Leon, Vice-Chancellor of Charles Sturt University, said the move reflects the university’s commitment to expanding access to high-quality education worldwide. She noted that students in Sri Lanka will be able to earn globally recognized qualifications while studying in their home country, reducing costs and improving access to international learning opportunities.

Beyond classroom education, students will benefit from connections to Charles Sturt’s global academic and research networks. These links are expected to strengthen practical learning, exposure to global best practices, and long-term career prospects.
