Dutch Lady Launches School Milk Programme to Support Student Nutrition and Learning

    • Dutch Lady initiates subsidised milk packs in schools and adopts one school per state through 2025–2029.
    • The programme aims to improve student nutrition, learning environments, and support the national Sekolah Angkat Madani initiative.
    • Adopted schools will receive classroom upgrades, digital tools, and support for holistic student development.

Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd has launched a major initiative to support student well-being and education through a new programme called ‘Transforming Schools, Nourishing Minds’. The long term effort was officially launched at SMK Putrajaya Presint 8(1), in collaboration with the Education Ministry and Yayasan Didik Negara (YDN).

Running from 2025 to 2029, the initiative will make Dutch Lady’s 200ml milk packs available at subsidised prices in selected school cooperatives across Malaysia. The goal is to promote healthier habits among students while also improving the learning environment.

Part of the milk sales proceeds will be channelled to the 3K Fund, which supports school cleanliness, cheerfulness, and safety efforts.

As part of the programme, Dutch Lady will also adopt one school in each state, starting with SMK Putrajaya Presint 8(1). These schools will benefit from classroom renovations, digital learning tools, and other enhancements aimed at improving student engagement and educational outcomes.

By 2029, Dutch Lady aims to adopt a total of 15 schools nationwide, aligning closely with Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s ‘Sekolah Angkat Madani initiative’, which seeks to transform 1,000 schools across the country.

Dutch Lady’s Managing Director Veronika Utami said, “This programme goes beyond milk. It’s an investment in Malaysia’s future by supporting children’s nutrition, education, and overall well-being”.

Zainal Abas, Deputy Director General of Education, highlighted the importance of private public partnerships in education. He noted that the collaboration will help create healthier, safer, and more holistic learning environments, preparing students to thrive both academically and personally.

This initiative reflects Dutch Lady’s ongoing commitment to nourish the nation, not just through nutrition, but by contributing to the broader development of Malaysia’s youth and education system.
